KB "Panorama" has developed GIS Constructor for Qt Designer SE version 15.2.0 for Astra Linux Special Edition, Alt Linux, RED OS, Ubuntu, and MS Windows. The new version ensures rapid opening of large projects without data reading delays, improves terrain data processing tools, and adds a new component for convenient map management.

Support has been implemented for asynchronous opening of large vector maps with volumes of tens of gigabytes containing millions of objects. Data loading is performed in the background and does not block the GIS application's operation. When closing a map that is being loaded, the background process is automatically interrupted. After loading is complete, the data becomes available for viewing and editing. This allows developers to create multi-document applications where end users can view and edit previously loaded data and switch between windows while large maps are being opened. Information about the operation's progress can be implemented in the GIS application interface as progress indicators showing the loading percentage of each map. The use of asynchronous vector map opening and progress display is demonstrated in the mapview test example included in the GIS Constructor installation.

The program has accelerated the retrieval and display of terrain data requested via the OGC WCS protocol. Visualization is now performed taking into account the current map scale: to speed up display, tiles corresponding to the current zoom level are requested from the server. At the same time, for analytical operations – constructing terrain profiles, querying information at a point, and other calculations – the highest resolution data is always used. GIS WebService SE can be used as a source of matrix data, allowing rapid acquisition of height data for the entire globe. For example, the GEBCO layer with 15 second resolution contains ocean bathymetry data, including depths, seafloor topography and names of underwater features, as well as land and ice surface elevation data.

A new map management component, QDMapManager, has been implemented. The component increases the efficiency of GIS application development by implementing the following map image actions: discrete zooming using the keyboard, smooth zooming with the mouse wheel, panning the map image by mouse button and keyboard, and displaying the entire map in the window. When the cursor is moved over the map, the management component provides current map scale values and coordinates in various systems (WGS 84, SK-42, SK-95, MSK) and units of measurement (degrees, degrees with decimals, radians). When clicking on the map, the component independently searches for map objects at the click point and displays object information in a separate window: coordinates, semantics, and reference information. The developer only needs to create an instance of QDMapManager on the form and specify the QDMapView map display component, whose operation it automates. The use of the new map management component is demonstrated in the myfirst test example included in the GIS Constructor installation.

GIS Constructor is adapted for operation on a wide range of operating systems (Astra Linux Special Edition, RED OS, Alt Linux, Ubuntu, Windows, Elbrus, QNX) and architectures (Intel, ARM, Elbrus). The toolkit includes visual design components for GIS applications and libraries of a cross-platform multi-threaded GIS core. GIS Constructor provides a cross-platform MAPAPI interface, allowing programmers to develop in their preferred operating system. Developers can release GIS applications for a set of operating systems by simple recompilation with minimal changes to the program's source code.

The new version of the program is available for download in the Download section.

KB "Panorama" has developed a technology for regular updating of the Panorama Python SDK and online help for MAPAPI interface functions in Python. Third-party developers have gained convenient access to up to date tools for creating applied solutions based on GIS "Panorama" without needing to independently find correspondences between versions of software components, function prototypes, and reference materials.

The Panorama Python SDK is hosted in an external repository on GitHub and contains Python modules with MAPAPI function prototypes. As the GIS "Panorama" core evolves, the SDK composition is regularly updated, allowing new capabilities of the software platform to be used in custom scripts, services, and desktop applications. This approach reduces the time required to connect functions for working with maps, spatial data, and electronic map objects to customers' application systems.

One example of using the Panorama Python SDK is the automated creation of thematic maps based on Rosstat data. Using a script, summary tables with indicators of the socio economic situation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation are loaded, the analyzed indicator is selected, value ranges are calculated, and a color gradation for map objects is generated. The processing results are saved as a thematic map, which can be opened and further edited in GIS "Panorama".

Python SDK tools can be used for batch processing of electronic maps, searching and modifying objects according to specified conditions, filling semantic characteristics, coordinate conversion, spatial data quality control, and generating reports. In addition, they can serve as a basis for creating specialized applications for maintaining industry specific maps, processing monitoring results, preparing data for geoportals, and integrating cartographic functions into corporate information systems.

Online help for MAPAPI interface functions in Python has been published for working with the SDK. The help includes a table of contents, an alphabetical index, module composition, and search. Developers can quickly find the required function, clarify its purpose, and use the call in code without referring to disparate materials.

The new technology increases the predictability of development and maintenance of solutions using GIS "Panorama" components. Up to date Python modules and help facilitate the automation of spatial data processing, integration of cartographic functions into information systems, and creation of specialized geoinformation applications for industry specific tasks.

KB "Panorama" has developed version 15.5.6 of the "Agronomist Workstation". This new version enhances tools used for maintaining digital agricultural land maps, processing remote sensing data, assessing terrain, and preparing reports on crop cultivation technologies.

In the "Multispectral Image Analysis" task, functions for calculating the EVI, CVI, and GNDVI vegetation indices have been added. EVI is used for assessing dense vegetation and biomass; CVI for analyzing chlorophyll content and identifying early signs of plant stress; and GNDVI for evaluating photosynthetic activity and crop status during early growth stages. Calculations are performed using multispectral imagery data from satellites or UAVs, enabling the generation of crop condition maps, identification of zones with uneven plant development, and refinement of areas for field surveys.

To display the computed indices in the "Multispectral Image Analysis" task, users can apply predefined grayscale or color palettes, or load palettes from RSW or MTQ files. Display parameters set in the dialog are automatically applied to all open multispectral images. The vegetation index map can be saved as an MTQ quality matrix. Such matrices are used in preparing thematic crop cartograms and comparing survey results with field maps, crop rotation records, soil agrochemical data, and completed field operations.

In the "Map Editor" task, when creating a new feature by entering coordinates from the keyboard, it is now also possible to load point coordinates for feature geometry nodes from SHP, OGC GML, and GeoJSON files. This allows the transfer of field boundaries, work plots, drainage elements, access roads, and other farm features from exchange materials without manual coordinate entry. Added modes include "Create features from sub-features" and "Delete sub-features within area". The first creates area and linear features based on the inner contours of one or more selected features; the second deletes sub-features of area features and additional contours of linear features within a user-specified area. These modes are useful for refining the structure of digital agricultural maps, separating internal contours, removing unnecessary sub-features, or preparing correct geometry for work plots for further recording and analysis.

Retrieval and display of terrain data requested via the OGC WCS standard from coverage services published via GIS WebService SE have been accelerated. OGC defines a "coverage" as a grid-based model of terrain, environmental quality, or a phenomenon varying in space or time. An optimal algorithm for using coverages for visualization and spatial analysis has been implemented. When viewing a map from the server, image tiles of the landscape corresponding to the current scale are requested with multi-level height generalization, resulting in faster terrain visualization. For analytical operations, such as terrain profile construction and slope calculation, queries for numerical height values are made from the highest-resolution coverage. For agricultural use, this data aids in slope analysis, assessing water runoff conditions, selecting tillage directions, and preparing reclamation materials.

The full-screen map display mode, "Interactive Whiteboard", has been enhanced. In this mode, users can add simple graphic objects to the map using a touch screen or mouse, rotate the map, and save screenshots to PNG, JPG, TIF, and BMP files. This mode can be called from the main menu "Window – Full Screen" and is useful for discussing field production situations, machinery routes, crop survey plans, and areas requiring crop condition clarification.

In the "Export map to CSV, TXT, XYH, XLSX" dialog, the ability to save feature attribute tables in HTML and DBF formats has been added. HTML is suitable for viewing tables in a web browser and preparing reports, while DBF allows further processing in information systems. Exporting attributes of field boundaries, work plots, and other map features in these formats simplifies data exchange between the agronomy service, farm management systems, and external contractors.

The new version is available for download in the Download section.
