The complex of hydrological tasks solves the tasks of an assessment of numerical characteristics of water content in a given pool during change of water rise level, and also obtaining graphic documents with results of modeling - displaying of depths matrices, profiling using matrices depths, a chart of numerical characteristics with the possibility of saving in graphic formats BMP, WMF, EMF. The complex solves the tasks of building zones of flooding and drainage in the form of matrices depths.

The zone of flooding and drainage can be saved as area objects of user's maps. The joint display of the objects of the flooded area and the main map allows you to define partially or completely flooded settlements, roads, bridges and other infrastructure.

Numerical characteristics of water content of the basin are: the area of filled region, the volume of water in the filled area, the ratio of the square and others.

To perform the tasks simulation, it is required vector map with the data about the relief (isobaths) of the area corresponding to the bottom of the basin considered and the surrounding area. The modeled area can be set to an arbitrary loop or closed object of a vector map.

In the modeling process it is solved the following tasks:

  • • matrix construction of the reservoir bottom according to the vector maps;
  • • calculation of the surface areas and volumes on the matrix bottom;
  • • creation of a set of depths matrixes corresponding to changing the levels of rising water;
  • • calculation of numerical characteristics on the set of depths matrices with saving results in the database table;
  • • building a profile of the basin area in depths matrixes with the issue of results on printing and saving in graphical formats;
  • • creating the zones of flooding and drainage in the form of depths matrices.

Construction of a zone of drainage is performed within the user-selected polygonal object of hydrography (lakes, reservoirs, etc.). The drainage zone represents a matrix of qualities which values are calculated in the presence of a matrix of a bottom's relief and two levels of a water table - top of pool and the bottom (modelled) level.

In area of a drainage zone where the height of a bottom is less than height of the bottom level of a water table, values of quality are not recorded. Into area where the bottom's relief is located above the bottom level, the difference of upper level and height of a bottom's relief is recorded. The bottom's relief of the specified pool is formed according to a vector map in the form of a matrix of elevations MTW.

The zone of flooding and drainage can be saved as polygonal objects of user's maps.

The joint display of the flooded area objects and the main map allows you to define partially or completely flooded settlements, roads, bridges and other objects of infrastructure.

Building the zone of flooding can be performed by the area of hydrographic object and by marks set of level rise water. The level of rising water in different points of the area depends on the characteristics of the terrain, soil structure, climatic and weather conditions. All these and other factors affect the results of measurements of depths, presented in the set of marks that are used to build the zone. Model of flooded area, built on the set of marks takes into account these factors and is more accurate.

Construction for territory area of several models of flood zones by measurements of depths in different moments of time allows you to assess the dynamics of the flooding process. The zone boundary obtained in the model, allows you to define fully or partially flooded settlements, roads, bridges and other objects of infrastructure.

The set of depths matrixes, corresponding to changing levels of rising water, is formed in the form of matrixes of qualities (MTQ). Each matrix of depths corresponds to concrete level of rising of water. The quantity of matrixes of a set is determined by values of height of the bottom and top level of water, and also a lifting step by height. Names of files for a created set are formed from a name of the matrix for a relief of bottom and height of the current modeling level. At calculations on the set of depths matrixes, there are used the set parameters – the range of considered depths (a minimum, a maximum) and a scanning step. Calculations are carried out in the set area which can be set by the closed contour or object of the map.

Calculation of area and volume by the matrix of bottom are implemented using a set of altitude marks corresponding to levels of lifting water with the preset step. During calculations consistently are defined the area of water surface and the volume of water layers. Water-surface area is determined by planimetry of horizontals (isobaths) with a cross section of relief through 0.5 m. Size of the cross section can be specified by the user. The volume of the reservoir is determined by consecutive summation of the volume of individual layers of water, contained between two adjacent levels.

By results of calculations the construction of schedules is performed with possibility of saving in graphic formats BMP, WMF, EMF.

Creation of profiles taking into account matrixes of depths within area of the specified pool is carried out at pressing the button of Profile panel with taking into account the matrix of depths and the specifying a piece of profiling by two pressing of the left mouse button in a map window.
