Specialists from KB "Panorama," together with students from , have prepared a video tutorial on using the mode from the task panel. This mode is available in and GIS "Operator" for the "Astra Linux Special Edition" operating system.
The video tutorial demonstrates the process of adding a raster image insert into an existing project. After activating the mode, a rectangle for the insert is drawn (using two points), followed by the selection of an image file in PNG, JPG, or TIFF formats. Editing the image insert is performed using the "Edit Object Geometry" mode, which allows for moving and resizing the image frame.
Images within inserts are always fitted to the dimensions of the frame. If the frame does not match the proportions of the original image, the picture may appear stretched or compressed. To restore the image's proportions, use the context menu of the "Edit Content" mode, specifically selecting the "Restore Proportions" item.
You can familiarize yourself with the training materials in the section.
KB "Panorama" has developed the Automatic Recognition and Vectorization Complex version 1.7.0. The new version includes a "Complex Processing" recognition mode that allows creating vector maps with a complete set of objects from images using a single request: agricultural fields (arable land), water bodies (rivers, lakes and others), forests (mature forest, undergrowth, clearcuts), buildings and roads. As in the "City" recognition mode, the service not only finds buildings but also determines their subtype: residential structures (multi-story and individual), public buildings (schools, kindergartens, hospitals and others), industrial and commercial buildings (factories, shopping centers and others), garages (garage construction cooperatives). All buildings are automatically oriented along the direction of the nearest roads. The position of recognized building contours is adjusted to correspond to the foundation of structures.
To improve the accuracy of the final vector map, the "Panorama Vision" service automatically coordinates the boundaries of formed area objects (forests, arable land, water bodies, buildings) with each other. During complex processing, an additional option "Label object addresses" is available. When selected, based on integration with the address database of for the territory of the Russian Federation (address.gisserver.info), the service will add semantics to objects with house numbers, street names, cities and districts. Additionally, house numbers and street names will be applied to the map as labels.
When creating vector map objects, a unified classifier map5000m.rscz is used. For creating agricultural land objects, the "Agricultural land" object with code 71324000 is used, for hydrography - the "Water body" object with code 31120002. Mature forest is applied to the map as area objects "Dense tall forest" with code 71111110, forest undergrowth - as area objects "Forest undergrowth" with code 71113000, clearcuts - as area objects "Cut forests" with code 71112300. Paved roads are applied to the map as linear objects "Highway" with code 61230000, and dirt roads - as linear objects "Streets" with code 45200000. Buildings are applied to the map as area objects of the following types: "Residential building" (with key "a_residential_b"), "Public building" (with key "a_public_b"), "Industrial enterprise" (with key "a_industrial_b"), "Garages (GSK and others)" (with key "a_garages_b").
The "Panorama Vision" service allows processing terrain images in RSW, JPG, TIFF, PNG formats, as well as data from open sources (geoportals). To ensure high recognition quality, it is recommended to use images with spatial resolution up to 0.5-0.6 meters/pixel. The service is located on the Internet on KB "Panorama" servers. Access to it is provided from the list of applied tasks in GIS "Panorama": Launch applications – "Automatic image recognition" item, as well as using REST API protocol methods. To work with REST API, you need to obtain a registration key. You can familiarize yourself with the complete list of available methods via the . Obtaining address information about objects is available starting from GIS "Panorama" version 15.5.0 and higher. The current version of GIS "Panorama" is available in the section.
Geoportal has been supplemented with a map of the Republic of El Salvador, formed according to OpenStreetMap data. To work with the map, you can use the program or other software products of KB "Panorama".
The map was led to the modernised classifier of large-scale plans of scale 1: 5 000 (map5000m). Publishing of updates in bank of spatial data is made by using the program of . Publishing contents of bank of spatial data on the geoportal and data access for downloading are implemented by means of .
Free maps on the basis of OpenStreetMap data are available for download on the page "Digital maps".
KB "Panorama" has developed version 7.1.0 for operating systems Astra Linux, Alt SP, RED OS, Ubuntu, MS Windows. The new version allows analyzing the state of objects over time. The capabilities of the map editor, object search, and user interface settings have been enhanced.
In GIS WebServer SE, retrospective terrain analysis helps identify dynamics of changes, assess the impact of various factors, and forecast future processes. Storage and retrieval of data for a selected date can be organized for a published layer in when information about past states of objects on the map is available.
User interface customization tools have been expanded. Background color and task header changes have been added. Color schemes for dark and light themes have been separated. Mirror placement functionality for buttons and panels has been implemented.
The map editor now includes a mode for inserting intermediate object points. The ability to define and select coordinate systems when importing objects and publishing maps (MIF/MID, SHP, GeoJSON, CSV, DXF, SXF), as well as when exporting layers, has been added. The functionality for searching and displaying objects from third-party services, including the National Spatial Data System (NSDS), has been expanded. The plugin development system has been improved. Administrators can add and edit forms for subsequent configuration of custom components from the interface.
GIS WebServer SE is used in building closed corporate systems with data protection for classified or commercially confidential information. GIS WebServer SE is implemented using toolkit, which can be applied in development tools using JavaScript and TypeScript.
Based on GIS WebServer SE and other server products from KB "Panorama", the Regional has been implemented. RGIS RO is a specialized multifunctional geoportal whose interactive capabilities provide access to reliable information about objects of various categories. RGIS RO is available to a wide range of users – government authorities, citizens, organizations, including potential investors and private companies. The Regional GIS of Ryazan Oblast assists in decision-making across various areas of socio-economic development.
The new version of the program is available in the section.
Specialists from KB "Panorama" together with students from have prepared a video tutorial on working with the mode. The task covered is available in , , and other software products from KB "Panorama".
The map navigator is an auxiliary interface designed to simplify the process of orientation on digital vector maps. It displays the current digital vector map at a specified scale, independent of the scale of the program's main window.
The video tutorial demonstrates an example of using the "Navigator" mode. The task operates in two modes, depending on the set map scale. When selecting a scale smaller than the original, the "Navigator" mode is activated. When increasing the scale beyond the original value, the "Magnifier" mode is launched. The navigator allows memorizing arbitrarily marked points on the map and the scale at which they were selected. You can navigate between points sequentially in forward or reverse order, or select any arbitrary point to display the map with the window center at the corresponding point and saved scale. Points can be erased and re-entered at any time. The entered sequence of points can be saved to a script file with any name and opened when necessary to view the saved points. If needed, you can change the navigator window size, as well as hide or display the additional information bar with the map display scale value in the navigator and the panel with functional buttons.
You can familiarize yourself with the educational materials in the "Video Tutorials" section.
