The specialists of KB "Panorama" have prepared a video tutorial on processing digital terrain information from aerial photography materials obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using the software.
The video tutorial demonstrates all stages of obtaining digital terrain information from aerial photography materials. The processing is fully automatic, except for the stage of measuring ground control points in the images. The measurement of ground control points significantly improves orientation accuracy. Upon completion of orientation, a detailed PDF report is automatically generated, containing accuracy assessment. The report includes basic information about the source data, processing results, and accuracy evaluation. Subsequently, the processes of dense point cloud formation are performed sequentially, refining from 1:16 scale to 1:1 scale, followed by the creation of a digital elevation model and orthophotomap.
An orthophotomap is a raster image created in the coordinate system specified during project creation. Unlike original images, the orthophotomap eliminates distortions caused by image tilt and terrain relief. The mapping materials obtained through the software can be used for urban planning, cadastral activities, national defense, cartography, ecology, forestry and municipal management, and other fields. "Panorama Photo" is a standalone software package that requires no additional components for installation.

Geoportal has been supplemented with a map of the Syrian Arab Republic, formed according to OpenStreetMap data. To work with the map, you can use the program or other software products of KB "Panorama".
The map was led to the modernised classifier of large-scale plans of scale 1: 5 000 (map5000m). Publishing of updates in bank of spatial data is made by using the program of . Publishing contents of bank of spatial data on the geoportal and data access for downloading are implemented by means of .
Free maps on the basis of OpenStreetMap data are available for download on the page "Digital maps".
KB "Panorama" has developed version 1.9 for the mobile Aurora OS. The new version implements tools for creating maps and plotting objects using coordinates from text files. Viewing and updating capabilities for spatial data stored on GIS Server have been added.
GIS "Panorama Mobile" now includes a dialog for opening data from . This dialog allows users to configure multiple server connection settings and open available spatial data sets. GIS Server provides remote access to vector maps, remote sensing data, matrices, documents, and spatial databases for users of , , , and other programs. Spatial data on the server can be edited simultaneously by multiple users. To ensure mobile devices always display current data, users can now specify update intervals in GIS "Panorama Mobile" settings.
The "Map Editor" functionality has been expanded. The new version allows plotting objects on maps using coordinate sets from CSV text files. Object plotting is performed using the "Create Object" mode in the "Map Editor" panel.
A new map creation tool has been added. To create a map, users can utilize the "Create Map" dialog, where they specify the map name, path, classifier, scale, and EPSG code. Detailed information about operating modes is available in the "Documentation".
GIS "Panorama Mobile" enables opening and editing main digital map formats of GIS "Panorama" and popular geoportals on mobile devices running Aurora OS, processing information from built-in GPS/GLONASS receivers. Users can prepare necessary spatial data sets in advance using desktop products (GIS "Panorama", , GIS Panorama Mini) and transfer them to the mobile GIS "Panorama Mobile". Data processing occurs offline, without internet connection. As users move, their current position is dynamically displayed using coordinates from the GPS/GLONASS receiver. For convenience, map position can be synchronized with current location. A track recording mode is available to save coordinates during movement, creating a separate map with the movement trajectory. Basic information is provided for all map objects during operation. The program is developed using GIS Constructor toolkit, which provides components for creating mobile applications for digital map operations in C++ programming language using Qt.
Aurora OS is a Russian mobile operating system developed by "Open Mobile Platform" company. The operating system is designed to build trusted mobile infrastructure and protect sensitive information in government organizations, large and medium-sized commercial companies. It promotes technological sovereignty through a secure mobile environment and meets all regulatory requirements for national security and information protection. Aurora OS enables centralized management of mobile devices and mobile software through Aurora Center. The current version of Aurora mobile OS is certified by FSTEC Russia and fully complies with requirements for type "A" operating systems of protection class 4 and trust level 4.
The new version of the program is available for download in the section.
KB "Panorama" has developed version 11.2.1 for Astra Linux SE, Ubuntu 18.04, CentOS 8, CentOS 7, RED OS, and MS Windows operating systems. The new version expands authentication methods for remote GIS Server administration. Support for GIS Server administrator authorization through the Keycloak identity broker has been added. This enables Single Sign-On technology implementation across a group of services without re-entering credentials after authenticating in one of them. For example, you can gain access rights to GIS Server administration, , , databases, and other services in a unified distributed information environment.
GIS Server supports working with spatial databases managed by PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server, providing access to spatial data in accordance with the OGC 06-103r4 standard: "OpenGIS Implementation Standard for Geographic information - Simple feature access - Part 1: Common architecture". GIS Server enables multi-level server interconnection for distributed storage and processing of spatial data with automatic replication, backup, and data protection.
The new version of the program is available for download on the page.
KB "Panorama" specialists, together with students, have prepared a video tutorial on working with "Arbitrary Area Selection", "Selection Inside Object", "Free Selection" and "Selection by Type" modes. These features are available in , and other KB "Panorama" software products for the "Astra Linux Special Edition" operating system.
The video tutorial demonstrates the functionality of map object selection modes. Using the pop-up menu, it shows how to configure the composition and parameters of object selection (layer, localization, characteristics, objects). Additionally, the ability to make further modifications to selected map objects has been added:
- select with intersection (and inside);
- select inside (remove intersection);
- select outside (remove intersection);
- list intersection;
- list cutting.
Map object selection modes allow quick preparation for working with "Processing Selected Objects", "Semantic Editing" groups of modes and "Application Launch" tasks.
You can access the training materials in the "Video Lessons" section.
