The "Panorama" design bureau has developed GIS "Panorama Mobile" version 1.7 for the domestic mobile OS Aurora. The new version features the ability to work offline with geoportals, includes tools for calculating length and area on the map, and supports the GeoTIFF format, which contains information about raster and matrix data.

An offline mode for working with geoportals has been implemented. When a user interacts with geoportals, all sections of opened data (tiles) are automatically saved in a local cache and can be used without an internet connection. In the absence of a connection or if the connection quality is poor, the application automatically switches to work only with the tile cache. A button for explicitly enabling/disabling offline mode is available on the main screen. When activated, a notification is displayed to the user indicating the current mode: "Offline" or "Online". The geoportal cache is stored in the application directory, allowing loaded data to be retained after restarting the device.

Tools for calculating length and area have been added. The user can select the desired area or route on the map, and the application will automatically calculate the area or length. Managing points within the area is simple: they can be moved or deleted with a second tap. To start a new calculation, simply press the reset button and select a new area or line. There is also a method for measuring distances to objects and between objects on the map. The user just needs to select the appropriate tool and indicate the object — the application will display the distance to it using a dashed line and a special marker.

Support for the GeoTIFF exchange format has been added for working with raster images and data matrices. The GeoTIFF format allows spatial data and geographic referencing to be saved directly within the image file. Support for the GeoTIFF format facilitates convenient integration with a wide range of geospatial applications.

GIS "Panorama Mobile" allows users to open and edit the main digital map formats of GIS "Panorama" and popular geoportals on mobile devices running Aurora OS, processing information from the built-in GPS/GLONASS receiver. Users can prepare the necessary set of spatial data in one of the desktop products (GIS "Panorama", "Panorama-Editor", GIS "Panorama Mini") and transfer it to the mobile GIS "Panorama Mobile". The data processing occurs offline, without an internet connection. As users move, their current position is dynamically displayed based on coordinates obtained from the GPS/GLONASS receiver. For ease of use, there is an option to synchronize the map's position with the current location. To save coordinates obtained during movement, a track recording mode is available, which creates a separate map and plots the trajectory of movement on it. Basic information about all map objects is provided during operation.

The program is developed based on the GIS Constructor toolkit, which provides components for creating mobile applications that work with digital maps using the C++ programming language and Qt framework.

Aurora OS is a Russian mobile operating system developed by the "Open Mobile Platform" company. The operating system is designed to build a trusted mobile infrastructure and protect sensitive information in government organizations, as well as in large and medium-sized commercial companies. It contributes to ensuring the technological sovereignty of the state through a secure mobile environment and meets all regulatory requirements in the field of national security and information protection. Aurora OS allows for centralized management of mobile device fleets and the mobile software used through Aurora Center. The current version of the Aurora mobile OS has been certified by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) of Russia and fully complies with the requirements for operating systems of type "A" with a protection class of 4 and a trust level of 4.

The new version of the program is available for download in the Download section.

The "Panorama" KB has developed the Database of digital maps and RS version 8.9.1. The new version includes functionality for working with engineering survey data—specifically, points of surveying justification. It supports the loading, storage, and maintenance of metadata for temporary and permanent surveying justification points. This data is used in land management, cadastre, boundary delineation, and conducting engineering surveys in the interests of planning, designing, and constructing real estate objects. It supports loading from CSV format and manual data entry, as well as exporting metadata to related systems of local government authorities.

New data types have been added to the "Type of Technical Documents" and "Type of Point" directories. Stricter control over input data is ensured during loading from CSV format. The mechanisms for generating information about coordinates and heights for the formation of extracts from the State Leveling Network (GLN) have been updated.

Data security is ensured by restricting access rights based on security measures included in the operating system. Standard authentication, digest authentication, system authentication (via web server), and domain authentication (Kerberos or Active Directory) are supported. Additional security is provided through end-to-end authentication when working with the database. Connection to the database occurs with the rights of a user working with the system. The complex is adapted for operation on a wide range of operating systems (Astra Linux SE, ALT Linux, Elbrus, Ubuntu, CentOS, MS Windows, and others) and architectures (Intel, Elbrus, Baikal). The program is registered in the register of domestic software under number 1862.

The database of digital maps and RS serves as the foundation for building spatial data infrastructure at federal, regional, and municipal levels within corporate information systems. Within a unified geoinformation space, the database of digital maps and RS implements the collection, storage, quality control, search, and issuance of spatial data in exchange formats. Spatial data selected using the program can be made available for multi-user access on the GIS Server and published according to international standards OGC WFS, WFS-T, WMS, WMTS, WCS on the GIS WebService SE application server. Users can access the data both from a thin client (using GIS WebServer SE) and from desktop applications (GIS "Panorama", GIS "Operator"). The database of digital maps and RS provides the construction of a cloud storage for spatial data, access to this data, and automated generation and updating of geo-coverages.

The current state of spatial data is displayed using schematic maps, which are maintained for each type of stored data: vector maps, remote sensing data, elevation matrices, and terrain models. Remote placement of spatial data sets in a file storage system is ensured, along with version control of stored sets, updates to the data availability schematic maps, automated collection and generation of metadata, and the creation and updating of geo-coverages. Automated collection and generation of metadata are carried out according to the standards ISO 19115:2003, Geographic information — Metadata, and ISO/TS 19139, Geographic information — Metadata — XML schema implementation. Reduced copies of data images are automatically generated, file checksums are verified, and the completeness of data sets is checked. The placement of spatial data in the file storage is performed with integrity verification, as well as control over the structure and content of the data. The results of the operations are logged and entered into the metadata database. Automatic backup of metadata and spatial data storage is provided with integrity checks and data recovery. A multilingual interface is supported.

The "Spatial Data Bank" portal demonstrates capabilities for organizing the storage, accounting, and issuance of vector maps, remote sensing data, elevation matrices, and terrain models. The portal contains vector maps in SXF format, generated based on data from open sources (OpenStreetMap, VMap0). The spatial data includes maps of the subjects of the Russian Federation, countries, and cities both near and far abroad. In total, there are over 400 vector maps and 6,700 matrix datasets with a total volume of over 230 GB. Specialists from the "Panorama" KB update and refresh the information on the portal weekly. All published data is distributed free of charge under an open license.

The new version of the program is available for download on the Download page.

The KB "Panorama" has created a tutorial on the task "Importing Data from MIF Format". This task is available in GIS "Panorama", GIS "Operator", and other software products from KB "Panorama" for the Astra Linux Special Edition operating system.

The video tutorial demonstrates the process of uploading a set of MIF/MID files with the same classification code settings and attribute data. If it is unclear which field in the MID file corresponds to the classification code of the object from the resource classifier, or if such a field is absent in the MID file, this operation can be skipped. In this case, the program will upload information with the codes of the selected objects.

As a result of running the program, a user map is created, and there is also the possibility to import data into an existing map. To do this, you should select the "Append" radio button and specify a vector map as the output map for loading data.

If the header of the MIF file indicates that the data is stored as geographic coordinates, then the map will have its type, projection, ellipsoid, and height system set. If the coordinate system is not specified in the MIF file or rectangular coordinates are used, then the map parameters will not be set. Later, using the tools in GIS "Panorama," you can convert it to the desired map type.

You can find the training materials in the "Video Lessons" section.
