The international oil and gas chemical exhibition "TATOILEXPO" concluded in Kazan, during which the conference "Current Issues in Geodesy and Geoinformation Systems" was held. The event took place from August 26 to 28, 2024, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Kazan Expo".

At the conference, specialists from the "Panorama" Design Bureau presented a report on "The Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Creation of Spatial Objects". Company representatives shared their experiences and answered questions regarding the use of neural networks in the fields of cadastre, geodesy, cartography, forestry, agriculture, and other areas. During the event, the main capabilities of the automatic recognition and vectorization system "Panorama Vision", which is based on artificial intelligence utilizing deep neural networks with an attention mechanism, were demonstrated.

Leading analysts, speakers, and industry leaders participated in the conference. The international exhibition serves as a significant discussion platform for exchanging experiences and addressing current issues in the development of geodesy, geoinformation systems, and fostering a favorable business environment.

The "Panorama" KB has developed GIS "Panorama" version 15.3.1. The new version includes enhanced tools for managing the digital classifier RSC, formatting topographic maps, performing overlay operations, and viewing user connection statistics to the GIS Server. Support for the webp format has been added when generating tile pyramids.

The task "Classifier Editor" has been updated. When displaying the object table in list mode, the ability to customize the display of object properties has been added. The table can be sorted by any object property in both ascending and descending order. To apply sorting by a specific column, you need to click the left mouse button on the header of that column. A repeated click on the same column header will sort the data in reverse order. The selection of displayed properties and the table view is retained when switching between tabs in the task window.

By default, the object table is displayed as a matrix of conditional signs. To display the list of objects, you need to click the "Displaying the characteristics of objects" button at the bottom of the table. The property display settings are configured in the context menu, which opens by right-clicking in the table area. The menu allows you to add or remove columns with object properties, except for the columns indicating row selection and localization icons, as well as the "Code" and "Key" columns. Columns with additional object properties are always added to the right of the non-removable columns and to the right of the column where the context menu was invoked. If the context menu was opened outside of the table columns, the new column will appear to the right of all existing ones. The updated program saves the composition, order, and widths of the table columns and restores the table view upon reopening the Classifier Editor. Support for displaying groups of closely located small objects, such as polygons or lines, as clusters—conditional signs with a count of generalized objects at corresponding points—has also been added.

The task "Map Editor" has been improved. In the "Merging objects" mode, the quality of stitching area objects has been enhanced: a preliminary alignment of contours has been added before stitching objects. In the "Cutting of polygon object" mode, the ability to select the saved shape of the object has been introduced. When cutting the original polygon into two or more parts, the result is saved as a single multipolygon: the outer parts of the object are recorded as one object. An option "Create Multipolygon" has been added to the context menu of the mode; when disabled, the outer parts of the cut object are saved as separate area objects.

In the "Alignment of selected objects" toolbar, a mode for "Formation of a combined symbol" has been added. A combined symbol is a set of vector objects selected from the map classifier, sharing a common anchor point and arranged vertically. After being applied to the map, the combined symbol can be edited as a single object.

The task "File - Export to tile pyramid - Mbtiles" has been enhanced. An option to save tiles in the webp format has been added.

The webp format supports both lossy and lossless compression algorithms. On average, a compressed image takes up 30% less space compared to png. The webp format supports transparency like png and can contain metadata for the image.

The functionality of the "View attributes from database" task, invoked by a button on the main panel, has been expanded.

This task provides the display of object attributes from spatial databases connected via DBM files, as well as arbitrary attribute tables. For each table selected from the database, a tab has been added to display its contents. Up to three user-selected tables can additionally be placed under all tabs.

A filter can be applied to select records from the table based on attribute values or through a specified SQL query. The sorted and filtered records can be saved in a text file in CSV format using the "Export to CSV" mode. The "Location on map" mode ensures synchronization between the table record and the map object, linked through the DBM file or service fields.

?The task "View passport" has been updated. In the "Create map" mode, when creating topographic maps, an automatic selection of the RSC classifier from the service list has been added. The list of classifiers and the correspondence between the classifier and the scale of the topographic map is stored in the file toporsclist.xml.

In the "Current projection" mode, a button "Center of map dimensions" has been added for quick calculation of the axial meridian based on the map dimensions. The calculation is performed for the map type Topographic Universal Local.

In the GIS Server connection dialog for users with administrative rights, a "Statistics" button has been added in the Monitoring tab. When the button is pressed, a protocol of the GIS Server's operational statistics for the current month is displayed. The protocol contains records of user connections and disconnections, indicating the current number of active users, as well as records of data opening and closing, specifying the number of users working with that data. The protocol is intended to facilitate server load analysis. The statistics request is supported on GIS Server version 11.1.3.1 and higher.

The "Cadastral documents" task has been enhanced. The "Base of cadastral works" mode has been enhanced, allowing XML and ZIP files to be attached to documents. A button "Add with copying" has been added to the main form of the mode, enabling users to add new list items by copying information from existing records in the database. This approach allows the same foundational document to be used when creating several different cadastral documents.

The "Land survey plan", version 9 mode has been improved. The order of processing multi-contour parts of land plots when generating text reports has been changed. Report templates have been corrected to eliminate duplication of the text "The boundary plan was prepared as a result of cadastral works related to". In "Land survey plan, version 9", XML file generation is temporarily carried out according to version MP_v09_R03 due to the extension of its validity until September 1, 2024, established in Rosreestr letter No. 18-6325-TG/24 dated July 8, 2024. Elements related to version MP_v09_R04 have been temporarily removed from the form. The path to the schema for verification has also been changed according to version MP_v09_R03. In the "Land survey plan" dialog, the outdated field "Purpose of cadastral works" has been removed from the "General data" tab.

In the "Territory map-plan" mode, file names for geodetic construction schemes and land plot boundaries are recorded in a shortened form without specifying the full path in the XML file. When correcting boundaries for multi-contour plots (key S_PLOT_ERROR), processing of coordinates for all contours has been added, with information recorded in XML and in reports.

The "Correction of registry errors" mode has been improved. The check for the presence of an original contour for the corrected object has been changed. This algorithm ensures processing of cadastral objects that previously did not have coordinate descriptions of boundaries. In this case, only corrected coordinates are recorded in the XML file without the originals.

The "Geodetic Editor" task has been refined. A variable algorithm for identifying characteristic points of cadastral objects to establish their affiliation with a cadastral object has been implemented. When forming plots, it is permissible to omit checks for cadastral and accounting numbers for point markers. For cadastral objects, the recording of semantics with type TCODE has been corrected, and the order of saving repeated semantics has been changed to consider the type of cadastral object.

Specialists from the KB "Panorama" have created a video tutorial on the task "Importing Data from Shape Format". This task is available in the GIS "Panorama", GIS "Operator", and other software products from the KB "Panorama" for the "Astra Linux Special Edition" operating system.

The video tutorial demonstrates the process of batch uploading data from the Shape exchange format using parameter settings. Files are uploaded with the application of object code composition settings and semantic characteristics according to the resource map classifier. Additionally, it shows how to establish correspondence between database table fields and semantics from the classifier.

The configured correspondence of object code composition and database table can be saved as a project settings file (.SHI). When loading a project settings file (.SHI) obtained by exporting a map using the software products from the KB "Panorama", no additional project configuration is required. All settings are performed automatically. After selecting the output map and classifier, you can activate the execution of the process.

Geoportal "Bank of spatial data" has been supplemented with a map of the Republic of Angola, formed according to OpenStreetMap data. To work with the map, you can use the GIS Panorama Mini program or other software products of KB "Panorama".

The map was led to the modernised classifier of large-scale plans of scale 1: 5 000 (map5000m).

Publishing of updates in bank of spatial data is made by using the program of Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data.

Publishing contents of bank of spatial data on the geoportal and data access for downloading are implemented by means of GIS WebServer SE.

Free maps on the basis of OpenStreetMap data are available for download on the page "Digital maps".

Specialists from KB "Panorama" have successfully completed testing that confirms the compatibility and proper functioning of the GIS Server SE in the RED OS environment.

The GIS Server SE is a program that provides remote access to vector maps, remote sensing data, and spatial databases for users of GIS "Panorama", GIS "Operator", GIS WebService SE, and other applications. Hosting data on the server protects it from unauthorized viewing, copying, modification, and printing. The GIS Server SE supports multi-level connections for distributed storage and processing of spatial data with automatic replication and backup. The GIS Server works with spatial databases managed by PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server in accordance with the OGC 06-103r4 standard: "OpenGIS Implementation Standard for Geographic information – Simple feature access – Part 1: Common architecture".

RED OS is a Russian operating system from the Linux family for servers and workstations, providing a universal environment for using application software. The operating system is included in the registry of Russian software and is certified by the FSTEC of Russia. Legal entities are granted the right to use RED OS on a paid basis, while individuals can access the operating system without purchasing a license. The OS developer, "RED SOFT", creates comprehensive projects in the field of data storage and management based on its own portfolio of software products.
