GIS Panorama Mobile - the program for navigation by vector's and raster's maps and matrixes of heights in formats of the GIS «Map 2011» (Panorama) in OS Windows Mobile. The program provides recording of a line of movement, construction of the shortest route by the graph of roads, search of objects, viewing of semantic characteristics, definition of coordinates of any points, definition of length and azimuth of a line, mapping objects, change of structure of displayed data and other operations.

The program can be installed on a handheld computer with OS Windows Mobile. Recording of a line can be carried out at absence of maps or atop of vector maps (MAP, SIT) or raster maps (RSW) and matrixes of heights (MTW), prepared in the GIS «Map 2011».

The line of movement is recorded onto the user map (SIT) which then can be copied onto a desktop computer for the further processing. If necessary the line can be converted by means of the GIS «Map 2011» into formats: DXF, MIF\MID, SHP, SXF, TXT, DBF, MP, GDF.

Input maps for a handheld computer can be prepared in the GIS «Map 2011» by converting from exchange formats: SXF, DXF, MIF\MID, SHP, S57, MP, TXT, DBF.

Structure of hardware-software means

Recommended requirements:

• platform: a handheld computer of type Pocket PC with processor of ARM4 type (for processors of type MIPS, SH3 and others it is necessary installation of the special version of the application);
• operating system: Pocket PC 2003 SE or MS Windows Mobile 5 and higher;
• .NET Compact Framework 2.0 and higher.

The built-in fonts with symbols of cyrillics are applied to display of titles on a vector map. Therefore presence on a handheld computer of Cyrillic fonts is not necessarily. For displaying on a map of titles with symbols of various national alphabets it is necessary to install the version of GIS Panorama Mobile using TrueType fonts of the device.

Requirements to input data

Input data of the program are:

• vector map in MAP or SIT format,
• classifier of a map and library of conventional symbols in RSC format,
• user maps in SIT format,
• graph of roads in the form of user map SIT and a service file of RGD format,
• raster maps in RSW format,
• matrixes of heights in MTW format.

After copying a file onto a handheld computer (for example, onto SD-card) in the Explore r the following view will be displayed:

If PanoramaMobile.CAB file has already been written down onto a SD-card it is necessary to insert it into a corresponding socket of a handheld computer and to open in the Explorer a corresponding folder.
At a choice of PanoramaMobile.CAB file in the Explorer on a handheld computer the message can be given out: “ Author of the program is unknown … To continue? Yes \ No ”. If you answer " No " the installation of the program will be ended.
If you answer "Yes" the warning will be given: “Before installation of new version GIS Panorama Mobile the old version will be removed … OK\Cancel”.At the answer “OK” the query will be given out: "Choose a place for installation of GIS PanoramaMobile " - Device \ SDMMC (if in the device there is SD-card). It is necessary 2632 KB , it is free on a disk: XXXXXX KB. Install \ Cancel (the demanded memory size on the device can be another).

After a choice of item "Install" the status-bar of process of installation will be displayed and the message on successful installation of the program will be given .

As a result of installation in a folder \Program Files the folder \PanoramaMobile will be created and in it 3 files will be placed: PanoramaMobile.exe, mapaxlib.dll and mapgraph.dll . For start of the program through the menu into a folder \Windows\Main menu \ Program Files the " GIS PanoramaMobile.lnk" file will be written down (the name of a file can include number of the program version).

Deleting of the application

To delete the program on a handheld computer it is possible by means of the menu “Service\Install and deleting of programs” in application Microsoft ActiveSync.

Start of the program

For start of the program , choose in the main menu of a handheld computer the item “Program Files \GIS PanaramaMobile” or in the Explorer choose a file" \Program Files \PanoramaMobile \PanoramaMobile.exe.

For ending the program it is necessary to choose item of the menu "File \Exit". By pressing the icon "X"" in heading of the program a hiding of the image of the main window of the application will be done. Thus, the map is not closed also resources of a handheld computer are not released. In this case the application will start more quickly, but it will occupy the resources necessary for other tasks on a handheld computer.

Execution of the program

At the first start of the program it is necessary to open an existing map by means of File menu or to create a new one.

At opening a map (“File\Open map” menu) it will be chosen a file - passport of a map with MAP or SIT extension.

At creation of a map (menu “File\Create map”) at first a name of a created user map is entered (parameters of a projection are selected automatically - Mercator projection on WGS84 ellipsoid), then the classifier is selected.

If on the device there is no classifier (RSC file) it is necessary to press "Cancel" button in dialogue of the classifier choice. In this case the classifier will be automatically created with a name of a map file and "RSC" extension.

To a background map the user maps with the various thematic information and the conventional symbols (“File\User map” menu) can be added.
To the open map the raster data can be added (menu File\Raster\Append ). To close raster data it is necessary to choose File\Raster\Close menu item. T o switch-off t emporarily the displaying of a raster without close of data it is necessary to choose View\View Rasters menu item. To switch on displaying rasters it is necessary to choose this item repeatedly. The current condition of displaying of rasters is shown by a tick.
Data can be imported from exchange formats (MIF\MID, SHP, SXF, MP, DXF, JPEG, TIFF, BMP) by means of the GIS « Map 2011».
After a choice of a map (MAP or SIT file) the program displays the center of a map, coordinates of a current point and controls . If in parameters of a projection of a map the values are not installed the map is displayed in local system of coordinates (meters). If in the passport of a map the correct values are installed the coordinates of a current point are displayed in degrees on the ellipsoid WGS 84 (GPS).
Except for coordinates the scale ruler is displayed - number of meters in one conditional centimeter of the image. The size of conditional centimeter is represented in the form of a black-and-white rectangle.
By pressing by a pen in any point of a map, in it the cursor in the form of cross-hairs will be displayed and in a line of coordinates the coordinates of the specified point will be displayed.

In order that on a background of a map the control panel with buttons for an execution of various tasks was displayed, it is necessary to include “Tools Panel” item into “View” menu.

Buttons of a map moving

Elements for moving the image of a map are placed on a background of a map in the right bottom corner. To switch on and switch off the image of elements it is necessary to choose item of the menu “View \Move Buttons”.

By pressing onto the triangle, specifying into the certain side, "the moving" of the screen into the same side will be executed (the image will move into the opposite side). By pressing a rectangle the transition to the center of a map will be executed. To move the image of a map it is possible also at moving a pen on the screen - the image will move after a pen.

Change of contents of displayed objects

For a choice of contents of displayed objects it is necessary to call the dialogue from menu “View\View Contents” and to switch-off those layers which do not need to be displayed.

"Locals" and “Layers” buttons switch a condition at once of all elements of the list from a condition "switched on" into a condition "switched off" and on the contrary.

Map scaling

Scaling of a map is carried out by means of buttons on the panel of tools. By pressing the button with a symbol “+”, the image of a map is increasing (become larger), and by pressing the button with a symbol “-“ the image of a map is decreasing (becomes smaller)
