  • 16.04.2019 Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data provides storage of sets of heterogeneous spatial data with a complex directory structure
    In KB "Panorama" the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data version 4.0 is developed. The new version of the program supports the loading of spatial data as a set of folders of a given structure. In this form, the results of engineering surveys, packaged pyramids of tiles, nautical charts, three-dimensional models of terrain and other data can be placed.

    The program provides viewing of data loading protocols, which contain information about data completeness, formats compliance, structural control, and compliance with the nomenclature of the international sheet division. Control parameters are specified in the file-scheme for each data group. Viewing of a common download protocol and protocol for a separate data set is supported. Tools for analysis of errors are expanded - information on the version, operating system, current PHP settings is recorded into the log of the complex. Support for PHP of version 7 is added.

    Within the framework of a single geoinformation space, the Data Bank of digital maps and remote sensing data realises gathering, storage, search and delivery of the spatial data in exchange formats. The spatial data selected by means of the program can be placed for the multiuser access on the GIS Server and be published according to the international standards OGC WFS, WFS-T, WMS, WMTS, WCS on application server the GIS WebService SE. Users can access data from both a thin client (by means of GIS WebServer SE) and from desktop applications (GIS "Panorama", GIS "Operator"). The databank of digital maps and remote sensing data provides construction of cloud warehouse of spatial data, provision of access to these data, the automated formation and updating of geo-covers. The current state of spatial data is displayed by means of maps-schemes that are maintained for each type of stored data: vector maps, remote sensing data, elevation matrixes and terrain models. It provides remote placing the sets of spatial data into file warehouse, keeping versions of stored sets, updating maps-schemes of data availability, the automated collection and formation of metadata, and the formation and updating of geo-covers. Automated collection and formation of metadata is performed according to the standards of ISO 19115: 2003, Geographic information - Metadata and ISO/TS 19139, Geographic information - Metadata - XML schema implementation. The reduced copies of data images are automatically formed, checksum of files and completeness of data sets are checked.

  • 15.04.2019 A kit of geographic maps of scale 1: 1 000 000 is supplemented with a map of Greenland
    KB "Panorama" prepared a digital geographical map of scale 1: 1 000 000 in format SXF onto the territory of Greenland - an autonomous territory subordinate to the kingdom of Denmark. VMap0 data obtained according to information from the website www.gis-lab.info has served as source for map's preparation.

    The map contains information about the quantity of inhabitants for cities and the names of settlements in Russian. As additional materials the World map of scale 1: 5 000 000 and data of OpenStreetMap were used. The map is led to the classifier of geographical maps of scale 1: 1 000 000 (1mogk13g.rsc). It can be used for the general estimation of the terrain and studying of an environment, an ensuring of educational process, as a basis for creation of geographical maps of smaller scale, thematic and special maps and solving other tasks.

    The map is distributed free according to the free licence. Digital geographical map of scale 1: 1 000 000 in format SXF is available for downloading on page the "Digital maps and images".

  • 10.04.2019 GIS Server implements a platform for automating the processing of spatial data
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS Server version 8.5 is developed. The new version expanded the set of automated procedures for processing spatial data on the server. They perform various types of quality control of digital vector terrain maps and the correction of errors. The program provides control of completeness and correctness of metadata, correspondence of geodetic and rectangular coordinates of a passport, correspondence of the nomenclature and coordinates of the sheet, the correctness of the projection parameters, checking a closing of polygons, vertex duplications, self-crossings, locations of the internal contours, duplication of objects, degeneracy, coordination of contours of adjacent and crossed objects, coordination of water levels and hydrography objects, a direction of the water course objects, completeness of mandatory characteristics, absence of non-valid characteristics, correctness of a format and values of characteristics and much more.

    The procedure for checking the quality of digital maps, as well as other procedures, can be called remotely from desktop or web applications. The developers of desktop applications can use the GIS ToolKit for Windows or the GIS Constructor for Linux by invoking commands for placing data into virtual folders, their subsequent processing and reading the results of the execution of procedures. For web applications, GIS WebToolKit SE is used, which provides access to REST-requests for processing to GIS WebService SE.

    The structure of the GIS Server includes a set of classifiers of the RSC format and control schemes for digital topographic maps of scales from 1:25 000 to 1: 1 000 000. The composition of classifiers and control schemes of xml format can be customized by means of GIS "Panorama" and other desktop applications.

    The checking results are recorded in the form of checking's tables in html format in accordance with the report templates and the composition of the control schemes. Customization of report templates can be done by various text editors.

  • 09.04.2019 Section of video lessons in English for self-study of geoinformation systems of KB "Panorama" is supplemented with materials on the transformation of raster images
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" prepared a video lesson "Transformation of raster data". It is intended for the English-speaking users independently studying possibilities of the GIS "Panorama". In this lesson, you will learn how to transform raster data. In a teaching material a transformation of rasters by a set of points and nomenclature sheet will be considered.

    Tools of transformation are in the section "Transforming rasters", which can be opened using the menu item "Run applications". In a video lesson a work with dialog "Transform raster map" is shown. Users will get acquainted with various types of transformations and interpolation methods. The actions shown in a video lesson will help to learn how to carry out a placing a raster or to transform the image.

  • 05.04.2019 In GIS "Panorama" x64, the degree of automation of creating, updating and generalizing digital topographic maps is enhanced
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS "Panorama" version 12.7.1 is developed for the x64 platform. In the new version, the task “Quarters generalisation” has been refined, designed for automatic uniting of closely located same-type quarters and adjustment of quarters with linear objects of the road network. In order to eliminate the contradictory overlap of the objects of the map of the derived scale, there are added the processes of adjustment of quarters and removing the buildings in the area of quarters with black filling.

    The automatic correction of the metrics of polygon and linear objects is improved. In polygon objects, there are removed the outliers and vertex duplications, all types of self-crossings, crossings of contours and errors of locations of subjects are corrected. Adjacent contours of one object are combined, intersecting contours are divided into separate objects. In the objects having errors of locations of subjects, the description order is corrected: the subject having the maximum area becomes the main one, the subjects located inside other subjects are stored into separate objects. In linear objects, there are removed the outliers and vertexes duplications, coinciding segments, the self-joining is corrected (joining of non-consecutive segments of one contour). The contours having the self-joining, are divided into separate objects. To correct the metrics of objects, it is necessary to perform "Check of self-crossings and locations of subjects" in the "Edit" mode. The corrected objects have a topologically correct metric description, which provides the calculation of correct areas, simplifies the construction of road network graphs, and allows you to combine and cut areas of vector data according to specified conditions. Automatic correction of the metrics of map objects allows you to speed up the processing of vector maps obtained from any sources that do not have a strict standard for checking the metric information.

    In the task the "Checking the quality of a vector map" according to a control scheme, tools of checking the metadata of the map are added. Metadata is formed by the task the "Map passport" according the standards of ISO 19115:2003, Geographic information - Metadata and ISO/TS 19139, Geographic information - Metadata - XML schema implementation. Metadata is saved in the XML format as a separate file onto each sheet of the map. Metadata allows you to enter additional information about the map (data on the manufacturer, data on the technology of creation) and use it in the conducting the automated banks of the spatial data.

    In the "Map Editor", the tools for viewing the results of checking the vector map are improved. To improve the quality of checking the metrics of objects of vector map, the checking program performs an excessive number of tests that can generate repeated error messages. The ability to filter repeated messages has been added into the program of viewing the checking results. To disable repeated messages, click the "Mark repeated messages" button and select the option "Hide marked messages". The mode of uniting (merge) selected polygon objects has been improved. There is implemented a formation of subobjects-multipolygons from those selected objects that are located from the objects to be merged at a distance that is greater than that specified in the parameters of the "Map Editor".

    The mode "Formation of a common external border" of the Map Editor has been improved. This mode allows you to create a common external border for map objects that are at an admissible distance. The allowable distance between adjacent objects is set in the parameters of the Map Editor (join tolerance).

    Display of vector symbols is improved. New symbols automatically compose complex labels, which are used to indicate the characteristics of forests, bridges, dams, tunnels, rivers, canals, fords, ferries, passes and other objects on the map. The main feature of complex labels is the presence of a horizontal line - the separator of the upper and lower labels of the main characteristics. Each label can be formed from several characteristics of an object and contain fragments of permanent text between characteristics. For each digital characteristic, you can specify the number of digits after the decimal point, for symbolic characteristics - word splitting and replacement with abbreviated names. The abbreviation of words of symbolic characteristics (of the type “Name”) is carried out according to the semantics “List of abbreviations”, which contains the corresponding full and short names (abbreviations).

    Sorting the maps of SITX format with encryption of stored data by the user password is accelerated.

    The document "Description of technology of creating and updating digital topographic maps" has been updated. This document describes the technology for creating and updating digital topographic maps based on remote sensing of the Earth. The technology is based on the use of software the PHOTOMOD DFS and the GIS "Panorama" x64.

    In the “Navigator 3D” task, there is complemented the mode of loading models from formats of Collada, TLS, OC3 into the DB3D three-dimensional tile database. For all formats of the original models, editing the coordinates of the model binding point is supported.

    The task “Converting geodetic heights of WGS-84 to normal heights” has been improved. It is intended for transition to heights on a geoid (normal heights) from geodetic heights on a general ellipsoid WGS-84. For example, downloaded from the SRTM format (radar topographic survey) and others. The inverse transformation of matrixes from normal heights (mean sea level) to the system of geodetic heights WGS-84 has been implemented.

    For finding the causes of repeated errors in the program's work the "Diagnostic log" is added. If some action with the program causes an error, then for its diagnosing, it is desirable to enable the "Diagnostics log" and to repeat the action causing an error. The diagnostic log is created in the folder \ProgramData (or \Users\All Users), which is usually located on the C: drive. Enabling the diagnostic log may be done in the menu \Options\Diagnostics log. Enabling the mode and displaying the name of the log file is also implemented in the "Placement of data" dialog - menu item \Options\Placement of data. The generated log file describing the error can be sent to the technical support of KB "Panorama".

  • 02.04.2019 Geoinformation technologies of KB "Panorama" are presented at a scientific-practical seminar in Tashkent
    From March 27 to March 29, 2019, in Tashkent a seminar was held "Russian technologies for the rapid creation of cartographic materials based on remote sensing data. Best practices". The event was organized by the State Land Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Moscow University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK).

    Representatives of the leading Russian companies working in the fields of geodesy and cartography took part in the international seminar. Specialists of KB "Panorama" made presentations and conducted master classes. Technologies for creating and updating digital topographic maps based on data from unmanned aerial vehicles using the GIS "Panorama" and other software products of the KB were presented. During the seminar, the advantages of using remote sensing data and automated mapping methods for solving problems of topographic and navigation monitoring were considered.

    Representatives of Russian companies demonstrated to Uzbek specialists the latest technologies for using remote sensing data obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles to create accurate cartographic materials. During the dialogue, participants discussed the practical and economic aspects of the operation of UAVs and the processing of survey results.

    The practical part of the seminar was held in Okhangaron District of Tashkent region, where UAV flights were carried out and aerial photography was performed. Photogrammetric processing of the obtained materials was carried out with the help of "Racurs" software. The sequence and methods of processing orthophotomaps when compiling digital topographic and cadastral maps and plans using the GIS "Panorama" were presented on the final day of the seminar.

  • 27.03.2019 Technologies of KB "Panorama" for automating the processes of collecting, storing and publishing geospatial information are presented at the conference in Moscow
    A scientific-practical conference "Geodesy, Cartography and Digital Reality" was held in Moscow, timed to coincide with the centenary of the establishment of the State Cartographic and Geodetic Services Agency of the country. The conference, organized by Roscartography JSC, was attended by heads and specialists of Russian and foreign companies, representatives of scientific organizations, universities, as well as state and local authorities.

    The report of the Deputy General Director of KB "Panorama" Demidenko Albert Gennadievich presents the possibilities of software technologies for automating the processes of collecting, storing and publishing spatial information in the context of the wide use of geoservices. The updated technology of automated generalization of topographic maps is adapted for application of the data placed on the GIS Server, including at rendering the object-oriented databases. The technology of automatic creation of titles, implements the algorithms for smart placement of labels on the map. For example, the optimal arrangement of several titles for closely located neighboring objects, without conflicts with existing signs and titles, or the creation of repetitions of name title along a curved extended linear object.

    Bank of digital maps and remote sensing data has expanded the list of types of spatial data, supports the storage of a catalog of points of a planned high-altitude basis, supports local coordinate systems for geo-covers. Using the mechanism of virtual folders allows you to automatically publish geo-covers for remote access to a wide range of consumers, including by tools of GIS WebService SE under unified OGC protocols.

    Possibilities of processing and the analysis of three-dimensional terrain models are expanded. To maintain the base of three-dimensional models, tools for importing 3D data from PHOTOMOD, Geoscan and others programs have been developed. Visualisation of three-dimensional views in the GIS "Panorama" and on geoportals with use of the GIS WebServer SE is accelerated.

    Placing digital maps, materials of remote sensing the Earth, elevation matrixes, spatial objects and three-dimensional models in the Databank is an effective tool of providing geodata for territorial administration, designing and building planning. The use of a geo-cover base solves the problems of limited performance of traditional methods of storing spatial data in a file system, automates the process of updating spatial data and allows you to organize cloud GIS technology.

  • 25.03.2019 The video lessons section in English is supplemented with materials for creating and updating terrain maps
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" prepared a video lesson "Subobject creation. Work with objects samples". It is intended for the English-speaking users independently studying possibilities of the GIS "Panorama". In this lesson you will learn how to work with subobjects and objects samples. In a material there are shown the ways of subobjects creation, a correct mutual positioning of various types of objects.

    For work with subobjects the the "Map Editor" panel is used. A subobject can be created for a polygon or line object. Information on subobjects is presented in the "Metric" bookmark. Using the tools of the "Paste & Cut" and "Delete" panels you can perform the operations of copying and deleting the selected subobject or group of subobjects. Demonstrated actions will help you learn how to “cut” certain areas on the polygon objects, for example, islands on a river or a lake, glades in a forest and others.

  • 21.03.2019 Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data provides a visual assessment of the spatial position of stored data
    In KB "Panorama" the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data version 3.9.1 is developed. In the new version there is added the mode of synchronisation of materials displayed on a map with the data that are filtered in the table. When using this mode, only the data selected by the filter (images, maps and matrixes) are displayed on the map-scheme. This makes it possible not to load the map with unnecessary information and facilitates the assessment of the spatial position of the data sets stored in the bank. The new mode allows users to form visual reports.

  • 15.03.2019 GIS WebService SE increased the speed of transactions and search requests when working with large amounts of spatial data
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS WebService SE version 12.2 is developed. In the new version of the service the protocol of accelerated data exchange with the GIS Server is added. With continuous streaming of information into the database, the server in real time transfers transactions to the service. Thus, service allows to display the received information dynamically.

    The speed of performing the search operations by area and crossing objects is increased due to the use of trees. There are accelerated the operations of obtaining the area, perimeter, building zones, overlay operations and others. Increasing the speed is achieved through the formation of temporary maps, necessary for calculations, in RAM. Ability is added for displaying information in an arbitrary projection in GML/JSON files.

    GIS WebService SE supports all international standards (OGC WFS, WFS-T, WMS, WMTS, WCS), with the help of which the transmission and display of spatial data is carried out. The program has the ability to issue tiles by any user or local coordinate system. The application is implemented on Windows and Linux platforms, is compatible with Apache, IIS and nginx web servers.

  • 11.03.2019 GIS-technologies of KB "Panorama" will be presented at a scientific and practical seminar in Uzbekistan
    KB " Panorama "will take part in the scientific and practical seminar "Russian technologies of operational creation of cartographic materials according to remote sensing data", which will be held in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) from 27 to 29 March 2019. The event is organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on land resources, geodesy, cartography and state cadastre.

    Specialists of KB "Panorama" will make presentations and conduct master classes. It is planned to talk about the technology of creating and updating digital topographic maps based on UAV data using the GIS "Panorama" and other software products of KB "Panorama". During a seminar the advantages of using the remote sensing data for solving the problems of topographical and navigation monitoring will be considered.

    The scientific and practical seminar will be held in three stages, including an introductory theoretical part, practical works and master classes of leading specialists of the industry. The participants of the meeting will get acquainted with the "best practices" of each company. The experience of application of unmanned aerial photo-geodesic complexes in various fields of activity will be considered. Professionals will tell their colleagues about the technologies of topographic, special, industry (air navigation, forestry, urban planning, agriculture) and thematic maps.

  • 07.03.2019 In the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data a maintains of a register of points of the planimetric-high-altitude base is implemented
    In KB "Panorama" the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data version 3.9 is developed. The new version adds the ability to store a new type of data - points of planimetric-high-altitude base, including: points of the state geodetic network, points of survey network, leveling points, elevation marks, astronomical points and stations ITRF.

    Each point is described by a set of mandatory metadata: its own name, coordinates, point type, and has a number of additional metadata for each point type: epoch for ITRF stations, type of center and a sign for GGS points, bench mark type for the leveling network points, and others. All points placed in the Databank, are displayed on a map-scheme, and in order to more quickly assess the state of the planimetric-high-altitude base each type of a point has its own conventional symbol.

    A new bookmark "Sketches" has been added to the window for viewing metadata of points of the planimetric-high-altitude base, where for each point you can save an unlimited number of schematic terrain plans for different periods of time.

    For the convenience of search for metadata, all data types are divided into two large groups: "Surfaces" and "Data". The "Surfaces" group includes maps, remote sensing data, matrixes, and geocovers, the "Data" group - classifiers and points of planimetric-high-altitude base.

    In the new version, the functions of viewing and editing are combined in a single window, which reduces the number of operations performed by the operator when editing metadata for all kinds of data sets.   • 06.03.2019 GIS Panorama Mini accelerates the visualization of geospatial data onto large areas through the use of multi-level pyramid tiles
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS Panorama Mini version 12.7 for x64 platform is developed. The new version of the program adds the ability to receive and display packed pyramids of tiles from GIS Server. Pyramids of tiles can be in BIR, Mbtiles formats, stored in a database managed by SQLite DBMS. Pyramids of tiles can be prepared in the Imagery Creator program, including in the environment of the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data, using vector maps, remote sensing data and matrixes of heights of relief and terrain objects. Access to tiles pyramids can be offline without the use of server applications, as well as in client-server mode through GIS WebService SE via the OGC WMTS protocol or through the GIS Server version 8.3 and higher. When accessing client-server mode, the tiles that were accessed are automatically cached on the client's computer, similar to working through a web browser.

    Import of a set of files of format S57 (000, 030, 031) from the folder containing the subfolders with the sea map files is implemented. The processing of the S57 format has been accelerated in several times due to the multi-threaded processing of data sets on multi-core processors. The output map can be created in the MAP format (multi-sheet map) or as a set of maps of the formats SIT, SITX as part of the MPT project.

    Into dialog of search and mark of map objects into the "Measurement" bookmark the possibility is added to set a condition of selecting objects by number of points in the main contour of object. For example, if you need to mark polygons having the shape of a rectangle (4 corners), you can search for a metric of 5 points (the first and the last are the same).

    The task of connecting geoportals is improved. Ability is added for displaying geoportals beyond 180 and -180 degrees in longitude for all supported standards. It allows you to display more visually the data on territory of Chukotski Peninsula and Alaska, and also to carry out editing of objects in these territories. Setting sizes of displaying is done via the "Configure geoportals" menu item. By default, the display area of geoportals is set from -225 to 225 degrees.

    A call of the "Transparent color" mode has been added to the "Data list" dialog. The mode is designed to disable the display of both one and a group of colors from a palette of 16, 256-color rasters. For 24 bit rasters, a disabling of displaying one color is carried out. The new mode is called on the "Rasters" bookmark by the item of the contextual menu "Transparent color".

    In the dialogs of recalculating and displaying the coordinates of the current point on the map, the replacement of the coordinate system PZ-90.02 by PZ-90.11 is performed.

  • 28.02.2019 Tools of GIS ToolKit expands the possibilities of managing the displaying of spatial data
    KB "Panorama" has developed the GIS ToolKit version 12.7 for creating GIS-applications in the environment of C ++ Builder, Delphi Embarcadero. In the new version, the component of map management has been added - TMapManager. The component significantly increases the efficiency of developing a GIS application by implementing actions with a map image, such as discrete scaling using the keyboard, smooth scaling by rotating the mouse wheel, moving the map image by pressing the mouse button and keyboard, and displaying the entire map in the window. When you move the cursor over the map, the managing component allows you to get the current scale values of the map displaying, a map name, the coordinates in various systems (CS-42, CS-95, WGS 84) and units of measurement (degrees, degrees with fractions, radians).

    GIS ToolKit is a tool for the developer of geographic information systems that allows you to process spatial databases. The toolkit consists of a set of visual components (supplied in the source code) and the API functions of GIS core for direct access to the geodatabase. The base of geodata can be located both at the workplace (direct access to the data), and in the local network or the Internet (the components of the GIS Server access or the exchange of data under the international protocols are used).

    KB "Panorama" prepared a digital geographical map of scale 1: 1 000 000 in format SXF onto the territory of the Republic of Finland. VMap0 data obtained according to information from the website www.gis-lab.info has served as source for map's preparation.

    The map contains information about the quantity of inhabitants for cities and the names of settlements in Russian. As additional materials the World map of scale 1: 5 000 000 and data of OpenStreetMap were used. The map is led to the classifier of geographical maps of scale 1: 1 000 000 (1mogk13g.rsc). It can be used for the general estimation of the terrain and studying of an environment, an ensuring of educational process, as a basis for creation of geographical maps of smaller scale, thematic and special maps and solving other tasks.

    The map is distributed free according to the free licence. Digital geographical map of scale 1: 1 000 000 in format SXF is available for downloading on page the "Digital maps and images".

  • 22.02.2019 Complex of preparing documents of aeronautical information automates processing the markings of the aerodrome ground elements
    In KB "Panorama" the Complex of preparing documents of the aeronautical information version 7.1 for the GIS "Panorama" x64 is developed. The new version adds a dialog for maintaining a database of markings of artificial airfield pavements and ground elements of the aerodrome. The interface of input and output of obstacles is improved. There are implemented the possibility of group operations with obstacles, calculation of relative height when applying, import of individual attributes from MS Excel. The built-in converter ARINC added the ability to load obstacles in the ARNAD format. The functions of the AIXM converter have been expanded when importing the aerodrome infrastructure elements and ground zones of various types. Aeronautical classifier is improved.

    Complex of preparing documents of the aeronautical information is intended for the creation and maintenance of a database of aeronautical information, the formation of aeronautical charts, the designing of flight routes for aircraft and the exchange of data with other information systems. Information exchange is carried out in ARINC and AIXM 5.1 formats. The main source of aeronautical information is the aeronautical data base created on the basis of the Aeronautical Information Conceptual Model (AICM), with additions for storing the planned information and the results of the route designing. The model is recommended by the international organization for planning and coordination of air traffic "Eurocontrol".

  • 20.02.2019 GIS "Operator" provides monitoring of mobile objects in a three-dimensional model according to data of satellite navigation systems GLONASS and GPS
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS "Operator" version 12.7 is developed for the x64 platform. In the new version in the "Navigator 3D" task, support has been added for displaying data in a volumetric form from geoportals for monitoring vehicle movement, weather changes or other dynamic phenomena. Data acquisition is performed by connecting web-services using the WFS protocol. In this case, you can find out the current information about a moving object: exact coordinates, current speed, height (depth) of movement, workload, remaining amount of fuel and other data that an object can give about itself. All this is placed into its metric and semantic characteristics and is given to the operator in a dialog when selecting the object of interest. The period of updating information depends on the frequency with which the object displays information, and on the settings of the Update period specified in the Options menu. For example, from the Flightradar24 geoportal, you can track the position of an aircraft if it is equipped with an ADS-B type transponder, which every second generates and broadcasts a radio message that contains exact coordinates, speed, altitude and other information about the aircraft. The service uses ADS-B receivers installed all over the world, which receive information from airplanes and send it to the Flightradar24 server. There are improved the tools of importing models of formats Collada, TLS, OC3 to the database of three-dimensional DB3D tiles in the mode of adding and updating models in the database.

    The task "To locate photos of JPEG on map by GPS-coordinates", designed to automatically link JPEG photos to the map, has been improved. The list of formats of processed source data in the "preliminary compilation" mode has been expanded. Loading the project of data of shooting from the UAV is added. The project of shooting's data is a set of JPEG files plus a text file — a list of JPEG photos and GPS-coordinates of points of photographing that correspond to them. The "preliminary compilation" mode allows you to process shooting materials obtained from the UAV. An automatic binding and turn of the photo image by coordinates of the shooting point and the direction angle of the image is carried out.

    Possibility of obtaining and displaying the packed pyramids of tiles from the GIS Server is added. Data can be in BIR, Mbtiles formats, stored in a database managed by SQLite DBMS. Pyramids of tiles can be created in the Imagery Creator program, including in the environment of the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data, using vector maps, remote sensing data and matrixes of heights of relief and terrain objects. Access to tiles pyramids can be offline without the use of server applications, as well as in client-server mode through GIS WebService SE via the OGC WMTS protocol or through the GIS Server version 8.3 and higher. When accessing client-server mode, the tiles that were accessed are automatically cached on the client's computer, similar to working through a web browser.

    Import of a set of files of format S57 (000, 030, 031) from the folder containing the subfolders with the sea map files is implemented. The processing of the S57 format has been accelerated in several times due to the multi-threaded processing of data sets on multi-core processors. The output map can be created in the MAP format (multi-sheet map) or as a set of maps of the formats SIT, SITX as part of the MPT project.

    Ability is added for calculating the absolute height at a given point, taking into account the data of nautical charts of IHO S57/S52 standards. When calculating the height, the data of isobaths, depth marks, coastlines and height-level objects are used. There are used the values of semantic characteristics the "Isobath value", "Height above sea level", and also the values from 3D metrics of depth marks. The function of calculating the absolute height according to data of the vector map is used in the "Map Computer" task, as well as in the Complex of hydrological tasks and the Complex of 3D analysis.

    Into dialog of search and mark of map objects into the "Measurement" bookmark the possibility is added to set a condition of selecting objects by number of points in the main contour of object. For example, if you need to mark polygons having the shape of a rectangle (4 corners), you can search for a metric of 5 points (the first and the last are the same).

    The task of connecting geoportals is improved. Ability is added for displaying geoportals beyond 180 and -180 degrees in longitude for all supported standards. It allows you to display more visually the data on territory of Chukotski Peninsula and Alaska, and also to carry out editing of objects in these territories. Setting sizes of displaying is done via the "Configure geoportals" menu item. By default, the display area of geoportals is set from -225 to 225 degrees.

    A call of the "Transparent color" mode has been added to the "Data list" dialog. The mode is designed to disable the display of both one and a group of colors from a palette of 16, 256-color rasters. For 24 bit rasters, a disabling of displaying one color is carried out. The new mode is called on the "Rasters" bookmark by the item of the contextual menu "Transparent color".

    In the dialogs of recalculating and displaying the coordinates of the current point on the map, the replacement of the coordinate system PZ-90.02 by PZ-90.11 is performed.

  • 18.02.2019 A series of lessons in English for independent study of geo-information systems of KB "Panorama" is supplemented with new materials
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" prepared a video lesson "Creation of 3D objects on a map". It is intended for the English-speaking users who independently study the possibilities of GIS "Panorama". In this lesson the work with three-dimensional objects is considered. From it you will learn how to create a 3D-object, edit its properties and place on the map.

    The video lesson shows a phased adjustment of the three-dimensional view of an object using the "Classifier Editor" panel. To create a new or edit an existing object, use the "Templates" bookmark. After saving all the settings, the creation of a three-dimensional model is demonstrated. The operation is started using the corresponding button on the main program panel. Moving around and controlling a 3D object is done with the mouse.

  • 14.02.2019 GIS Server enhances information security of resources for distributed storage and processing the data of large volume
    In KB "Panorama" the program GIS Server version 8.4 is developed. The new version improves the reliability of working with large lists of maps, rasters and matrixes when they are intensively processed by various services and user groups. Algorithm for sorting maps on the server is clarified. Algorithm for monitoring server status from desktop applications is improved. Diagnostic printing is expanded.

    Ability is added for publishing the packed pyramids of tiles in BIR, MBTILES formats based on a SQLite database. Pyramids of tiles can be created in the Imagery Creator program, including in the environment of the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data, using vector maps, remote sensing data and matrixes of heights of relief and the terrain objects. When publishing tiles, on the client’s computer those tiles that were accessed are automatically cached, similar to working through a web browser. Viewing the pyramids of tiles from the server is supported in the GIS "Panorama" version 12.7 and higher. At connecting the databases there is added a processing of parameters of the user coordinate systems by extended codes from the crslist.xml file.

    GIS Server is designed to provide remote access to spatial data for users of programs GIS "Panorama", GIS "Operator", GIS WebService SE and others. The software product is certified in the information security system. GIS Server is used in various federal, regional and corporate projects for managing spatial databases, for organizing the interaction between web clients, desktop and mobile clients and various service departments.

  • 11.02.2019 GIS WebServer SE allows to form three-dimensional models of objects from the formats Collada, TLS, OC3
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS WebServer SE version 4.5 is developed. In the new version of the program the "3D map" is updated. The base of three-dimensional models of the Noginsk project is supplemented by models of several more historical buildings of the city. For loading and editing of three-dimensional models the Professional GIS "Panorama" is used. Loading of models from formats Collada, TLS, OC3 is supported. When displaying three-dimensional symbols through the map classifier, the "Power lines" template is added. Loading the models of support for the template is performed from the Collada format. Possibilities of geocoding on a database are expanded. The updated component "Geocoding" can create map layers with clustering of point objects and supports the getting of data from MS SQL Server DBMS.

    The toolkit of developing the Web-applications the GIS WebToolKit SE has been improved, which expands possibilities of GIS WebServer SE and can be integrated into other information systems. Access to data (images, vector maps and terrain information) is provided by Web services using common OGC protocols and ISO standards. Service of GIS WebService SE (OGC WMS/WMTS) provides spatial information in the form of graphic images. Various types of high-altitude data are used as a digital elevation model: matrixes (in the formats SRTM, GeoTIFF, IMG, MTW), TIN-models, point cloud and others. At request the most accurate data onto a specified terrain site with a given resolution is automatically sampled. To transfer data of the digital terrain model to the Web, the WCS protocol is used. The relief data is represented as tiles and cached on the client.

    As a source of spatial data, the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data can be. It provides the collection, storage, search and delivery of spatial data in exchange formats, a displaying the state of the data bank in the form of maps-schemes, the automated formation and updating of geo-covers.
    GIS WebServer SE is used in the construction of closed corporate systems to ensure the protection of data having a security classification or a trade secret. GIS WebServer SE is certified for Level 2 of absence of undeclared capabilities. The new version of the program expands the application's capabilities in solving problems of analysis, management and long-term planning of the territories development. GIS WebServer SE is implemented using the toolkit of GIS WebToolKit SE, which can be used in development tools that use the JavaScript.

    The task "Isolines generalization", which is a part of the "Automated generalization of topographical maps" software, and intended for transforming the relief of map of the original scale into a map of a smaller (derived) scale, has been improved. In order to reduce the losses of the relief's shape, the processing of closed contours of a small area has been added. Previously, such isolines were removed, now closely spaced small isolines are merged together, and then the result of the merging is checked by the area threshold.

    The list of tasks for automated processing of vector maps is expanded in the task "Processing of map by scenario". A new task "Correction of object metrics" has been developed. The task removes outliers and double points at the specified tolerance; removal of initial and final coinciding segments of linear objects; cutting the contours of linear objects at points of junction; cutting the contours of polygon objects at the points of junction and self-intersection; conversion of multi-lines into simple lines; conversion of multipolygons into simple polygon objects with internal sub-objects.

  • 06.02.2019 GIS Toolkit offers developers of GIS-applications the enhanced possibilities of working with geoportals
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS ToolKit of version 12.6.4 is developed for creation of GIS-applications in the environment of C ++ Builder, Delphi Embarcadero. In the new version, settings were added to the GIS-core, which provide the ability to set the coordinates offset for various geoportals. This is necessary to establish an exact match of the data displayed in the TMapView component and the geoportal, if artificial offsets are entered on it. Support of Flightradar24 resource is included into the list of available geoportals for implementing the monitoring of aircraft movement. The geoportal of the Moscow Region Regional Geographic Information System (RGIS) has been added. Information about spatial objects is placed in the system by the responsible state authorities and local self-government bodies of the Moscow Region and is the official state information resource of the Moscow Region. Support for geoportals with an arbitrary tile size is added. The settings are put into the user file crsregister.xml, which contains the description of user matrixes, their projections, scale factors and tile sizes. Speed of displaying geoportals is increased.

    A new mode of displaying rasters and matrixes with recalculation of coordinate systems (transformation) and/or turning on the fly has been added into the GIS core. This allows you to display images and matrixes of elevations together with geoportals and vector maps with different coordinate systems and rotate these images at an arbitrary angle (for example, in a navigation task). The display speed of rasters and matrixes with transformation and rotation roughly corresponds to the usual display of rasters due to the use of multi-thread processing for multi-core processors and new data caching algorithms (display processes are accelerated 10 or more times).

    In the new version the system of search for map objects using the TMapFind and TMapObj components is improved. To work with the map object, a new dialog is available that displays the attributes of object, its coordinates, object scheme, and scale of visibility. In the presence of permissions the dialog allows to edit object parameters.

    GIS ToolKit is a tool for the developer of geographic information systems that allows you to process spatial databases. The toolkit consists of a set of visual components (supplied in the source code) and the API functions of GIS core for direct access to the geodatabase. The base of geodata can be located both at the workplace (direct access to the data), and in the local network or the Internet (the components of the GIS Server access or the exchange of data under the international protocols are used).

  • 01.02.2019 KB "Panorama" will take part in the jubilee conference to the 100th anniversary of the industry of Geodesy and Cartography
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" will take part in the 10th international scientific-practical conference "Geodesy. Mining survey. Aerial survey. At the turn of the centuries". The event will be held from 14 to 15 February 2019 in Moscow in the conference hall of the "Novotel" hotel. Representatives of the company will make a presentation on the topic “Automated conducting a databank of digital maps and remote sensing data” and will hold a master class. During the meeting, application of geo-information technologies of KB "Panorama" will be considered for creating geoportals by using the software products: GIS "Panorama", GIS Server, GIS WebServer SE, GIS WebService SE, Imagery Creator.

    On the basis of server software, geoportals of various purposes, such as the GIS "Rosseti", "Agroportal", "Geoportal of open data of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia" and others, are implemented.

    GIS "Rosseti" increases the reliability and efficiency of the management of the electro-network complex, distributed over the territory of 77 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The main task of the GIS "Rosseti" is to provide information support in carrying out work for reducing the likelihood of accidents, technological failures and other abnormal situations, as well as to mitigate their negative consequences.

    "Agroportal" allows agricultural producers to get access to an agricultural GIS enterprise from anywhere in the world. Geoportal is designed for management of agriculture, provides for the creating a digital map of the contours of the farm, a conducting the base of soil fertility and electronic corded book of field history.

    "Geoportal of open data of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia" was developed by the company's specialists in preparation for the VIII International Salon "Integrated safety 2015". The web application provides systematized information on the resources of the Unified State System for the Prevention and Response to Emergencies and on economic and infrastructure facilities in the territory of the Russian Federation.

    The purpose of the scientific conference is the creation of an inter-branch testing ground for the exchange of experience and information. The event will allow to unite the market's leaders for the demonstration of domestic and foreign innovative scientific and industrial developments in the field of geodesy, mine survey and aerial survey.   • 29.01.2019 The demonstration geoportal "Electric control center" based on GIS WebServer SE is updated
    In KB "Panorama" the example of implementation of the "Electric control center", built on the basis of GIS WebServer SE, has been updated. The new version adds the ability to build routes for vehicles on an arbitrary date. Routes are built in the form of linear and point objects, during construction you can choose the color of the object. Displaying several routes are available at once for different dates, each waypoint contains time information. The constructed routes can be saved on the local computer in GeoJSON format for further processing and analysis.

    For storing the information about the coordinates of the vehicles the database PostgreSQL used. From GPS/GLONASS trackers the information about current position, time and a car condition is arrived. Data is transmitted via HTTP protocol using GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) packet data transmission. The mechanism for receiving and analysing data is implemented in PHP. You can use any other methods of receiving data. The route is drawn in the client’s browser, which receives all the necessary data in GeoJSON format. The route is added into the "Map contents" panel tree as a separate layer. "Electric control center" is implemented as a plug-in of the GIS WebServer SE application.

  • 11.01.2019 Training materials in English are prepared for independent study of geoinformation systems of KB "Panorama"
    Specialists of KB "Panorama" for English-speaking users prepared a series of video lessons for working with GIS "Panorama". The training course of twelve lessons will tell you about the system tools for creating and editing maps, checking the quality of vector maps, performing calculations and building 3D models. To date, three video lessons are prepared and published.

    From the first lesson, "Object creation tools", you will learn how to create and edit objects on a map. It will examine various ways to create new objects and fill in their characteristics.

    In the second lesson, "Operations above points", modes are shown that allow you to edit the turning points of map objects. Also you learn about some functions for changing the topology of objects.

    The third lesson "Classifier edition" is devoted to the creation and editing of a classification system of spatial objects and their attributes. The lesson shows you how to create layers of the classifier, objects of different types of localization and demonstrates the key possibilities for creating conventional symbols for map objects.

  • 03.01.2019 GIS WebServer SE expands the possibilities of creating thematic maps based on a spatial database
    In KB "Panorama" the GIS WebServer SE version 4.3.2 is developed. In the new version the possibility of creating maps by database tables is added. The "Geocoding" component connects to the database, reads the coordinates of objects and creates point objects on the map. The result can be saved on the user's computer in GeoJSON format. In addition, geocoding parameters can be saved for future use. The "Geocoding" component is implemented as a plug-in, whose code can be used as an example for developing your own components.

    In 3D map the possibility to select a route of motion in the "Free flying" mode is added. The route of movement can be pre-prepared or downloaded from a file from the user's computer.

    The toolkit of developing the Web-applications the GIS WebToolKit SE has been improved, which expands possibilities of GIS WebServer SE and can be integrated into other information systems. Access to data (images, vector maps and terrain information) is provided by Web services using common OGC protocols and ISO standards. Service of GIS WebService SE (OGC WMS/WMTS) provides spatial information in the form of graphic images. Various types of high-altitude data are used as a digital elevation model: matrixes (in the formats SRTM, GeoTIFF, IMG, MTW), TIN-models, point cloud and others. At request the most accurate data onto a specified terrain site with a given resolution is automatically sampled. To transfer data of the digital terrain model to the Web, the WCS protocol is used. The relief data is represented as tiles and cached on the client.

    As a source of spatial data, the Databank of digital maps and remote sensing data can be. It provides the collection, storage, search and delivery of spatial data in exchange formats, a displaying the state of the data bank in the form of maps-schemes, the automated formation and updating of geo-covers.

    GIS WebServer SE is used in the construction of closed corporate systems to ensure the protection of data having a security classification or a trade secret. GIS WebServer SE is certified for Level 2 of absence of undeclared capabilities. The new version of the program expands the application's capabilities in solving problems of analysis, management and long-term planning of the territories development. GIS WebServer SE is implemented using the toolkit of GIS WebToolKit SE, which can be used in development tools that use the JavaScript.
